Mark Ibañez is a dancer and movement artist from California. He began dancing at a young age, mimicking pop greats such as Britney Spears and Michael Jackson, but dove into more technical training in classical ballet, Horton, Graham, and Dunham at Oakland School for the Arts, a performing arts high school in Oakland, California. From there, Mark continued his training at the Juilliard School, The School of American Ballet, Lines Ballet, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance (SFCD).

Upon beginning his education at Stanford University in 2014, Mark also began training at the SFCD. At both institutions, he trained under Alex Ketley, Bobbi Jene Smith, Sumer Lee Rhatigan, and Robert Moses (of Robert Moses KIN), and performed in various works, most notably as a soloist in “Sway” from Ohad Naharin’s “Decadance”.

Now, a recent Los Angeles resident, Mark strives to move within projects that combine his passions for both the concert and commercial dance worlds. He’s worked with and trained under renowned artists such as Tyce Diorio, Brian and Scott Nicholson, Liz Guerrieri, Will Johnston, Melissa Schade, and the fabulous Jackie Sleight and the LAJC.
